Auction result well in line with expectations
In September last year Bonhams in Los Angeles held the auction Post-War & Contemporary Art X Made In California, which included the work Untitled (Fountain) Bronze, 1990 by Robert Graham. It changed hands for a price of USD 11,475.00 (€ 11,729.53) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of USD 8,000.00 – 12,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Robert Graham achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Frieze: Figures I-A, I-E, I-F, Ii-D, Iii-D in May 2007 with an auction result of USD 390,000.00 (€ 289,898.16).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im September letzten Jahres führte Bonhams in Los Angeles die Auktion Post-War & Contemporary Art X Made In California durch, in der auch die Arbeit Untitled (Fountain) Bronze, 1990 von Robert Graham zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von USD 11.475,00 (€ 11.729,53) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 8.000,00 – 12.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Robert Graham erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit The Frieze: Figures I-A, I-E, I-F, Ii-D, Iii-D im Mai 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 390.000,00 (€ 289.898,16).
