Auction result misses estimated price range
In March 2007 a collector was able to acquire the work Stranded by Robert Talbot Kelly for GBP 1,320.00 (€ 1,942.89). This price was achieved in the auction British & Continental Paintings at Sothebys in Olympia and was even below the estimate range of GBP 1,500.00 – 2,000.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Robert Talbot Kelly achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Tangiers in July 2008 with an auction result of GBP 22,500.00 (€ 28,586.50).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im März 2007 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Stranded von Robert Talbot Kelly für GBP 1.320,00 (€ 1.942,89) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion British & Continental Paintings bei Sothebys in Olympia erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 1.500,00 – 2.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Robert Talbot Kelly erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Tangiers im Juli 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 22.500,00 (€ 28.586,50).
