This artwork by Robert Talbot Kelly achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in London in September 2011. In the Travel, Science and Natural History auction, the work Old Pagan sold for GBP 2,125.00 (€ 2,468.66) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 1,200.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Robert Talbot Kelly achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Tangiers in July 2008 with an auction result of GBP 22,500.00 (€ 28,586.50).

Dieses Kunstwerk von Robert Talbot Kelly erzielte im September 2011 bei Christies in London einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Travel, Science and Natural History wurde die Arbeit Old Pagan für GBP 2.125,00 (€ 2.468,66) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 1.200,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Robert Talbot Kelly erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Tangiers im Juli 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 22.500,00 (€ 28.586,50).
