The work Feeding The Seagulls by Robert Gemmell Hutchison was sold in the Scottish and Sporting Pictures auction at Sothebys in London in August 2007. The price achieved of GBP 60,000.00 (€ 88,695.84) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 50,000.00 – 70,000.00. Even if this result could not surprise positively, Feeding The Seagulls is the most expensive artwork by Robert Gemmell Hutchison that we have observed at auctions so far.
