In May this year Bonhams held the auction Scottish Art, which included the work Girl at a washstand by Robert Gemmell Hutchison. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 4,462.50 (€ 5,192.15), 49% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Robert Gemmell Hutchison achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Feeding The Seagulls in August 2007 with an auction result of GBP 60,000.00 (€ 88,695.84).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 49 % übertroffen
Im Mai diesen Jahres führte Bonhams die Auktion Scottish Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Girl at a washstand von Robert Gemmell Hutchison zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 4.462,50 (€ 5.192,15) und damit 49% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Robert Gemmell Hutchison erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Feeding The Seagulls im August 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 60.000,00 (€ 88.695,84).
