Auction result well in line with expectations
In November 2021 Sothebys in London held the auction Scottish Art, which included the work By the Side of the Zuiderzee by Robert Gemmell Hutchison. The price achieved of GBP 16,380.00 (€ 19,231.66) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 15,000.00 – 20,000.00. Admittedly, works by Robert Gemmell Hutchison have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Feeding The Seagulls in August 2007 with an auction result of GBP 60,000.00 (€ 88,695.84).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im November 2021 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion Scottish Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit By the Side of the Zuiderzee von Robert Gemmell Hutchison zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 16.380,00 (€ 19.231,66) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 15.000,00 – 20.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Robert Gemmell Hutchison auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Feeding The Seagulls im August 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 60.000,00 (€ 88.695,84).
