Auction result well in line with expectations
The work The Picture Book by Robert Frederick Blum was auctioned at Christies in New York in May 2011. The price achieved of USD 218,500.00 (€ 151,989.43) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 180,000.00 – 240,000.00. Admittedly, works by Robert Frederick Blum have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Venetian Gondoliers in May 2012 with an auction result of USD 1,142,500.00 (€ 924,053.70).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit The Picture Book von Robert Frederick Blum kam im Mai 2011 bei Christies in New York zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 218.500,00 (€ 151.989,43) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 180.000,00 – 240.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Robert Frederick Blum auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Venetian Gondoliers im Mai 2012 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 1.142.500,00 (€ 924.053,70).
