Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Seated Figure by Robert De Niro, Sr. was auctioned at Christies in New York in June 2015. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 1,500.00 – 2,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 1,625.00 (€ 1,456.88) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Robert De Niro, Sr. achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work without title in June 2014 with an auction result of USD 31,250.00 (€ 22,826.88).

Die Arbeit Seated Figure von Robert De Niro, Sr. kam im Juni 2015 bei Christies in New York zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 1.500,00 – 2.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 1.625,00 (€ 1.456,88) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Robert De Niro, Sr. erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit ohne Titel im Juni 2014 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 31.250,00 (€ 22.826,88).
