It achieved a price of USD 2,805.00 (€ 2,497.55), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 40%. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Robert Arneson achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Audio Visual in May 2015 with an auction result of USD 87,500.00 (€ 79,588.87).

Die Arbeit Rock on Saucer #17, 1972 von Robert Arneson kam im Juni 2020 bei Bonhams in Los Angeles zur Auktion. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von USD 2.805,00 (€ 2.497,55) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 40%. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Robert Arneson erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Audio Visual im Mai 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 87.500,00 (€ 79.588,87).
