The work Awnings (D2, D3, D4) by Rita McBride was sold in the Under The Influence auction at Phillips in New York in March 2009. The »bidding war« ended at USD 10,625.00 (€ 8,012.22), 18% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Rita McBride - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Parking Structure Interior, which sold at auction in September 2011 for USD 22,500.00 (€ 16,729.87).

Die Arbeit Awnings (D2, D3, D4) von Rita McBride wurde im März 2009 in der Auktion Under The Influence bei Phillips in New York versteigert. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 10.625,00 (€ 8.012,22) und damit 18% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Für andere Arbeiten von Rita McBride mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Parking Structure Interior beobachtet, die im September 2011 für USD 22.500,00 (€ 16.729,87) versteigert wurde.
