In December 2019 Sothebys in London held the auction The Hoarder Sale, which included the work I. Radiator Painting No. 7 Ii. Radiator Painting No. 4 by Richard Woods. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 2,250.00 (€ 2,659.24), 50% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Richard Woods achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Personal History in November 2009 with an auction result of USD 60,000.00 (€ 40,016.01).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 50 % übertroffen
Im Dezember 2019 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion The Hoarder Sale durch, in der auch die Arbeit I. Radiator Painting No. 7 Ii. Radiator Painting No. 4 von Richard Woods zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 2.250,00 (€ 2.659,24) und damit 50% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Richard Woods erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Personal History im November 2009 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 60.000,00 (€ 40.016,01).
