Auction result misses estimated price range
In June 2020 a collector was able to acquire the work Five Friends by Richard Woods for GBP 1,063.00 (€ 1,170.71). This price was achieved in the auction Land, Sea, Sky: Online Auction at Phillips in an online auction and was even below the estimate range of GBP 1,500.00 – 2,500.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Richard Woods achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Personal History in November 2009 with an auction result of USD 60,000.00 (€ 40,016.01).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Juni 2020 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Five Friends von Richard Woods für GBP 1.063,00 (€ 1.170,71) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Land, Sea, Sky: Online Auction bei Phillips in einer Online-Auktion erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 1.500,00 – 2.500,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Richard Woods erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Personal History im November 2009 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 60.000,00 (€ 40.016,01).
