Auction result misses estimated price range
In September 2021 a collector was able to acquire the work Weather, Weather by Richard Wentworth for GBP 756.00 (€ 879.62). This price was achieved in the auction This is Tomorrow: Works from the David Ross Collection at Sothebys in London and was even below the estimate range of GBP 1,000.00 – 1,500.00 set by the auction house. Admittedly, works by Richard Wentworth have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work There in April 2006 with an auction result of GBP 4,800.00 (€ 6,927.76).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im September 2021 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Weather, Weather von Richard Wentworth für GBP 756,00 (€ 879,62) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion This is Tomorrow: Works from the David Ross Collection bei Sothebys in London erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 1.000,00 – 1.500,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Richard Wentworth auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit There im April 2006 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 4.800,00 (€ 6.927,76).
