Auction result misses estimated price range
In September 2008 a collector was able to acquire the work Still Life With A Wood Duck And Grouse by Richard La Barre Goodwin for USD 21,250.00 (€ 15,091.26). This price was achieved in the auction American Paintings, Drawings and Sculpture at Sothebys in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 30,000.00 – 40,000.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Richard La Barre Goodwin achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Theodore Roosevelt'S Cabin Door in May 2006 with an auction result of USD 486,400.00 (€ 379,022.83).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im September 2008 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Still Life With A Wood Duck And Grouse von Richard La Barre Goodwin für USD 21.250,00 (€ 15.091,26) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion American Paintings, Drawings and Sculpture bei Sothebys in New York erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von USD 30.000,00 – 40.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Richard La Barre Goodwin erzielen.
