Auction result misses estimated price range
In September 2008 a collector was able to acquire the work Still Life With A Wood Duck And Grouse by Richard La Barre Goodwin for USD 21,250.00 (€ 15,091.26). This price was achieved in the auction American Paintings, Drawings and Sculpture at Sothebys in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 30,000.00 – 40,000.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Richard La Barre Goodwin achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Theodore Roosevelt'S Cabin Door in May 2006 with an auction result of USD 486,400.00 (€ 379,022.83).
