Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Strawberries by Richard La Barre Goodwin was auctioned at Sothebys in New York in April 2011. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 6,000.00 – 9,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 6,250.00 (€ 4,216.99) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Richard La Barre Goodwin achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Theodore Roosevelt'S Cabin Door in May 2006 with an auction result of USD 486,400.00 (€ 379,022.83).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Strawberries von Richard La Barre Goodwin kam im April 2011 bei Sothebys in New York zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 6.000,00 – 9.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 6.250,00 (€ 4.216,99) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Richard La Barre Goodwin erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Theodore Roosevelt'S Cabin Door im Mai 2006 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 486.400,00 (€ 379.022,83).
