Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Seattle Slew by Richard Stone Reeves was sold in the American Art auction at Sothebys in New York in April 2017. The »bidding war« ended at USD 11,875.00 (€ 10,899.50), 19% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Richard Stone Reeves have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Northern Dancer in June 2015 with an auction result of USD 62,500.00 (€ 56,033.71).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Seattle Slew von Richard Stone Reeves wurde im April 2017 in der Auktion American Art bei Sothebys in New York versteigert. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 11.875,00 (€ 10.899,50) und damit 19% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Richard Stone Reeves auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Northern Dancer im Juni 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 62.500,00 (€ 56.033,71).
