Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work Daisy by Richard Stone Reeves was auctioned at Christies in New York in June 2015, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of USD 3,000.00 – 5,000.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for USD 625.00 (€ 560.34). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Richard Stone Reeves achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Northern Dancer in June 2015 with an auction result of USD 62,500.00 (€ 56,033.71).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als die Arbeit Daisy von Richard Stone Reeves im Juni 2015 bei Christies in New York versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 3.000,00 – 5.000,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für USD 625,00 (€ 560,34) den Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Richard Stone Reeves erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Northern Dancer im Juni 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 62.500,00 (€ 56.033,71).
