This artwork by Richard Smith achieved an unexpectedly high price at Bonhams in December last year. In the Sir Terence ConranThe Contents of Barton Court auction, the work without title sold for GBP 2,805.00 (€ 3,166.57) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 1,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Richard Smith achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Tip Top in June 2017 with an auction result of GBP 131,250.00 (€ 149,469.26).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Richard Smith erzielte im Dezember letzten Jahres bei Bonhams einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Sir Terence ConranThe Contents of Barton Court wurde diese Arbeit ohne Titel für GBP 2.805,00 (€ 3.166,57) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 1.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Richard Smith erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Tip Top im Juni 2017 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 131.250,00 (€ 149.469,26).
