Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Richard Shaw could be acquired at Christies in New York in March 2009 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Christie's Interiors auction, the work Goose And Fish Construction changed hands for USD 625.00 (€ 471.31) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 1,000.00 – 1,500.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Richard Shaw achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Still Life with Skull and Glass, 2009 in September 2019 with an auction result of USD 5,325.00 (€ 4,883.08).

Dieses Kunstwerk von Richard Shaw konnte im März 2009 bei Christies in New York für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Christie's Interiors wechselte die Arbeit Goose And Fish Construction für USD 625,00 (€ 471,31) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 1.000,00 – 1.500,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Richard Shaw erzielen.
