Auction result well in line with expectations
In April 2020 Phillips in an online auction held the auction Habitat: Online Auction, which included the work "Book with House of Camels" by Richard Shaw. The price achieved of USD 2,500.00 (€ 2,282.06) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 2,000.00 – 3,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Richard Shaw - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Still Life with Skull and Glass, 2009, which sold at auction in September 2019 for USD 5,325.00 (€ 4,883.08).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im April 2020 führte Phillips in einer Online-Auktion die Auktion Habitat: Online Auction durch, in der auch die Arbeit "Book with House of Camels" von Richard Shaw zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 2.500,00 (€ 2.282,06) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 2.000,00 – 3.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Richard Shaw mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Still Life with Skull and Glass, 2009 beobachtet, die im September 2019 für USD 5.325,00 (€ 4.883,08) versteigert wurde.
