Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Study of a sixteenth-century half suit of armor by Richard Parkes Bonington was sold in the Collector, Dealer, Connoisseur: The Vision of Richard L. Feigen auction at Sothebys in New York in October 2021. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 30,000.00 – 50,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 32,760.00 (€ 28,358.73) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Richard Parkes Bonington achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Palazzi Manolesso-Ferro, Contarini-Fasan and Venier-Contarini on the Grand Canal, Venice in October 2021 with an auction result of USD 7,387,800.00 (€ 6,395,256.23).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Study of a sixteenth-century half suit of armor von Richard Parkes Bonington wurde im Oktober 2021 in der Auktion Collector, Dealer, Connoisseur: The Vision of Richard L. Feigen bei Sothebys in New York versteigert.
