Auction result well in line with expectations
In June last year Sothebys in London held the auction British Art: The Jubilee Auction, which included the work Picardy Coast with Children – Sunrise by Richard Parkes Bonington. The price achieved of GBP 2,394,500.00 (€ 2,781,727.86) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 2,000,000.00 – 3,000,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Richard Parkes Bonington - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work The Palazzi Manolesso-Ferro, Contarini-Fasan and Venier-Contarini on the Grand Canal, Venice, which sold at auction in October 2021 for USD 7,387,800.00 (€ 6,395,256.23).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Juni letzten Jahres führte Sothebys in London die Auktion British Art: The Jubilee Auction durch, in der auch die Arbeit Picardy Coast with Children – Sunrise von Richard Parkes Bonington zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 2.394.500,00 (€ 2.781.727,86) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 2.000.000,00 – 3.000.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Richard Parkes Bonington mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit The Palazzi Manolesso-Ferro, Contarini-Fasan and Venier-Contarini on the Grand Canal, Venice beobachtet, die im Oktober 2021 für USD 7.387.800,00 (€ 6.395.256,23) versteigert wurde.
