Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Basket of Strawberries by Richard La Barre Goodwin was sold in the THE HOUSE SALE auction at Christies in New York in March 2005. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 3,000.00 – 5,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 3,120.00 (€ 2,405.74) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Richard La Barre Goodwin achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Theodore Roosevelt'S Cabin Door in May 2006 with an auction result of USD 486,400.00 (€ 379,022.83).
