Artwork auctioned at three times the upper estimate price
When the work After The Hunt by Richard La Barre Goodwin was auctioned at Christies in New York in September 2004, the result exceeded expectations many times over. The upper estimate was set at a - in retrospect quite modest - USD 35,000.00 but the actual price achieved was more than three times as high at USD 107,550.00 (€ 86,615.12). Admittedly, works by Richard La Barre Goodwin have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Theodore Roosevelt'S Cabin Door in May 2006 with an auction result of USD 486,400.00 (€ 379,022.83).
Kunstwerk zum Dreifachen des oberen Schätzpreises versteigert
Als die Arbeit After The Hunt von Richard La Barre Goodwin im September 2004 bei Christies in New York versteigert wurde, übertraf das Ergebnis die Erwartungen um ein Vielfaches. Der obere Schätzpreis war mit – rückwirkend betrachtet recht bescheidenen – USD 35.000,00 angesetzt, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis hingegen war mit USD 107.550,00 (€ 86.615,12) mehr als dreimal so hoch. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Richard La Barre Goodwin auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Theodore Roosevelt'S Cabin Door im Mai 2006 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 486.400,00 (€ 379.022,83).
