Auction result well in line with expectations
In November 2018 Sothebys in London held the auction Made in Britain / Online, which included the work 1 + 1 = 10 Black/Purple by Richard Deacon. The price achieved of GBP 500.00 (€ 563.98) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 400.00 – 600.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Richard Deacon achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Breath in June 2010 with an auction result of GBP 85,250.00 (€ 103,671.93).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im November 2018 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion Made in Britain / Online durch, in der auch die Arbeit 1 + 1 = 10 Black/Purple von Richard Deacon zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 500,00 (€ 563,98) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 400,00 – 600,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Richard Deacon erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Breath im Juni 2010 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 85.250,00 (€ 103.671,93).
