This artwork by Richard Brakenburgh achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in London in November 2005. In the Old Master Pictures auction, the work The Village Schoolroom sold for GBP 18,000.00 (€ 26,444.27) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 8,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Richard Brakenburgh - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work The Eve of Saint Nicholas, which sold at auction in November 2011 for EUR 58,600.00.

Dieses Kunstwerk von Richard Brakenburgh erzielte im November 2005 bei Christies in London einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Old Master Pictures wurde die Arbeit The Village Schoolroom für GBP 18.000,00 (€ 26.444,27) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 8.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Richard Brakenburgh mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit The Eve of Saint Nicholas beobachtet, die im November 2011 für EUR 58.600,00 versteigert wurde.
