Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work The Auction by Richard Brakenburgh was sold in the Old Master & 19th Century European Art auction at Sothebys in New York in January 2015. Here, the upper estimate of USD 12,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for USD 12,500.00 (€ 11,071.74). Admittedly, works by Richard Brakenburgh have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work The Eve of Saint Nicholas in November 2011 with an auction result of EUR 58,600.00.
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit The Auction von Richard Brakenburgh wurde im Januar 2015 in der Auktion Old Master & 19th Century European Art bei Sothebys in New York versteigert. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von USD 12.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für USD 12.500,00 (€ 11.071,74) einen neuen Besitzer. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Richard Brakenburgh auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit The Eve of Saint Nicholas im November 2011 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 58.600,00.
