Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Richard Brakenburgh could be acquired at Christies in New York in February 2012 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Christie's Interiors auction, the work A jolly peasant changed hands for USD 1,250.00 (€ 935.70) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 5,000.00 – 7,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Richard Brakenburgh achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Eve of Saint Nicholas in November 2011 with an auction result of EUR 58,600.00.
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Richard Brakenburgh konnte im Februar 2012 bei Christies in New York für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Christie's Interiors wechselte die Arbeit A jolly peasant für USD 1.250,00 (€ 935,70) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 5.000,00 – 7.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Richard Brakenburgh erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit The Eve of Saint Nicholas im November 2011 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 58.600,00.
