Auction result well in line with expectations
The work A merry company making music and singing in an interior by Richard Brakenburgh was auctioned at Christies in Amsterdam in January 2007. The price achieved of EUR 3,840.00 was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as EUR 3,000.00 – 5,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Richard Brakenburgh achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Eve of Saint Nicholas in November 2011 with an auction result of EUR 58,600.00.

Die Arbeit A merry company making music and singing in an interior von Richard Brakenburgh kam im Januar 2007 bei Christies in Amsterdam zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von EUR 3.840,00 lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit EUR 3.000,00 – 5.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Richard Brakenburgh erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit The Eve of Saint Nicholas im November 2011 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 58.600,00.
