Auction result well in line with expectations
The work The Marriage at Cana by Richard Brakenburgh was auctioned at Christies in London in December 2005. The price achieved of GBP 9,600.00 (€ 13,933.86) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 8,000.00 – 12,000.00. Admittedly, works by Richard Brakenburgh have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work The Eve of Saint Nicholas in November 2011 with an auction result of EUR 58,600.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit The Marriage at Cana von Richard Brakenburgh kam im Dezember 2005 bei Christies in London zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 9.600,00 (€ 13.933,86) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 8.000,00 – 12.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Richard Brakenburgh auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit The Eve of Saint Nicholas im November 2011 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 58.600,00.
