In the SPORTING ART auction, the work Study of a Group of Foxhounds sold for USD 4,230.00 (€ 4,505.75) - well above the upper estimate of USD 1,500.00. Admittedly, works by Richard Barrett Davis have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work British sir Roger De Coverly And His Hounds in May 2012 with an auction result of USD 23,750.00 (€ 19,208.99).
