Sold at the lower estimate price
In December 2019 Christies in London held the auction British Art: Victorian, Pre-Raphaelite & British Impressionist Art, which included the work Lucky Dogs by Richard Ansdell. The result of GBP 10,000.00 (€ 11,818.83) was exactly at the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 10,000.00 – 15,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Richard Ansdell achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Wounded Hound in November 2006 with an auction result of GBP 478,400.00 (€ 710,438.97).
