Auction result well in line with expectations
In February this year Christies in New York held the auction European Art, which included the work A Fox Stalking Ptarmigan by Richard Ansdell. The price achieved of USD 9,450.00 (€ 8,913.41) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 8,000.00 – 12,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Richard Ansdell achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Wounded Hound in November 2006 with an auction result of GBP 478,400.00 (€ 710,438.97).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Februar diesen Jahres führte Christies in New York die Auktion European Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit A Fox Stalking Ptarmigan von Richard Ansdell zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 9.450,00 (€ 8.913,41) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 8.000,00 – 12.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Richard Ansdell erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit The Wounded Hound im November 2006 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 478.400,00 (€ 710.438,97).
