Auction result well in line with expectations
In March 2007 Sothebys in Olympia held the auction 20th Century British & Irish Art, which included the work Pink And Green by Richard Allen. The price achieved of GBP 4,560.00 (€ 6,711.80) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 4,000.00 – 6,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Richard Allen - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Warm Pink And Yellow, which sold at auction in March 2014 for GBP 16,250.00 (€ 19,668.20).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im März 2007 führte Sothebys in Olympia die Auktion 20th Century British & Irish Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Pink And Green von Richard Allen zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 4.560,00 (€ 6.711,80) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 4.000,00 – 6.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Richard Allen mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Warm Pink And Yellow beobachtet, die im März 2014 für GBP 16.250,00 (€ 19.668,20) versteigert wurde.
