Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Sunday in the Garden by Richard Adams was sold in the Modern British and Irish Art auction at Bonhams in London in November 2021. The price achieved of GBP 1,275.00 (€ 1,496.97) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 1,000.00 – 1,500.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Richard Adams - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Providing the Town, which sold at auction in November 2019 for GBP 3,812.00 (€ 4,476.22).
