Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Flores by René Portocarrero was auctioned at Bonhams in New York in May last year. The price achieved of USD 12,112.50 (€ 11,287.39) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 10,000.00 – 15,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by René Portocarrero achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Paisaje de La Habana in November 2016 with an auction result of USD 295,500.00 (€ 279,353.37).

Die Arbeit Flores von René Portocarrero kam im Mai letzten Jahres bei Bonhams in New York zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 12.112,50 (€ 11.287,39) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 10.000,00 – 15.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von René Portocarrero erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Paisaje de La Habana im November 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 295.500,00 (€ 279.353,37).
