Auction result well in line with expectations
In May this year Bonhams held the auction Impressionist & Modern Art, which included the work Ciudad by René Portocarrero. The price achieved of USD 9,562.50 (€ 8,975.50) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 8,000.00 – 12,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by René Portocarrero achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Paisaje de La Habana in November 2016 with an auction result of USD 295,500.00 (€ 279,353.37).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Mai diesen Jahres führte Bonhams die Auktion Impressionist & Modern Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Ciudad von René Portocarrero zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 9.562,50 (€ 8.975,50) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 8.000,00 – 12.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von René Portocarrero erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Paisaje de La Habana im November 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 295.500,00 (€ 279.353,37).
