A top price for René Portocarrero - as previously expected
The work Paisaje de La Habana by René Portocarrero was auctioned at Christies in New York in November 2016. It changed hands for a price of USD 295,500.00 (€ 279,353.37) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of USD 200,000.00 – 300,000.00. Even if this result could not surprise positively, Paisaje de La Habana is the most expensive artwork by René Portocarrero that we have observed at auctions so far.
Ein Spitzenpreis mit Ansage
Die Arbeit Paisaje de La Habana von René Portocarrero kam im November 2016 bei Christies in New York zur Auktion. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von USD 295.500,00 (€ 279.353,37) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 200.000,00 – 300.000,00. Auch wenn das Ergebnis damit nicht positiv überraschen konnte, ist Paisaje de La Habana das teuerste Kunstwerk von René Portocarrero, das wir bisher bei Auktionen beobachtet haben.
