Auction result well in line with expectations

The price achieved of USD 4,750.00 (€ 4,203.17) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 4,000.00 – 6,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by René Groebli - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work The Magic Of The Railway, C. 1949, which sold at auction in November 2008 for GBP 8,500.00 (€ 10,277.14).
