Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Eye of Love #516 by René Groebli was sold in the Artist | Icon | Inspiration: Women in Photography Presented with Peter Fetterman auction at Phillips in New York in June 2019. The price achieved of USD 4,750.00 (€ 4,203.17) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 4,000.00 – 6,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by René Groebli - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work The Magic Of The Railway, C. 1949, which sold at auction in November 2008 for GBP 8,500.00 (€ 10,277.14).

Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 4.750,00 (€ 4.203,17) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 4.000,00 – 6.000,00 angegeben worden.
