Auction result misses estimated price range
In February 2000 a collector was able to acquire the work Pyramide du soleil au Mexique by René Genis for USD 1,380.00 (€ 1,431.09). This price was achieved in the auction Impressionist, 20th Century and Contemporary Art at Christies in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 2,000.00 – 3,000.00 set by the auction house. Other works by René Genis have also sold for higher prices; the highest price we have seen at auction so far was achieved in December last year by the work Port de Sanary at EUR 2,624.00.

Im Februar 2000 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Pyramide du soleil au Mexique von René Genis für USD 1.380,00 (€ 1.431,09) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Impressionist, 20th Century and Contemporary Art bei Christies in New York erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von USD 2.000,00 – 3.000,00. Andere Arbeiten von René Genis wurden auch schon teurer gehandelt; den höchsten Preis, den wir bisher bei Auktionen beobachten konnten, erzielte im Dezember letzten Jahres die Arbeit Port de Sanary mit EUR 2.624,00.
