Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Orage Sur Arcachon; And A Companion Painting by René Genis was auctioned at Christies in New York in August 2013. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 2,000.00 – 3,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 2,125.00 (€ 1,610.34) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Other works by René Genis have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in December last year the work Port de Sanary was auctioned for EUR 2,624.00.

Die Arbeit Orage Sur Arcachon; And A Companion Painting von René Genis kam im August 2013 bei Christies in New York zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 2.000,00 – 3.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 2.125,00 (€ 1.610,34) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Andere Arbeiten von René Genis konnten bereits höhere Auktionspreise erzielen, so wurde im Dezember letzten Jahres die Arbeit Port de Sanary für EUR 2.624,00 versteigert.
