Auction result misses estimated price range
In February 2000 a collector was able to acquire the work Chantier naval by René Genis for USD 1,265.00 (€ 1,311.83). This price was achieved in the auction Impressionist, 20th Century and Contemporary Art at Christies in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 1,500.00 – 2,500.00 set by the auction house. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by René Genis - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Port de Sanary, which sold at auction in December last year for EUR 2,624.00.
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Februar 2000 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Chantier naval von René Genis für USD 1.265,00 (€ 1.311,83) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Impressionist, 20th Century and Contemporary Art bei Christies in New York erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von USD 1.500,00 – 2.500,00. Für andere Arbeiten von René Genis mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Port de Sanary beobachtet, die im Dezember letzten Jahres für EUR 2.624,00 versteigert wurde.
