Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In May 2021 Sothebys in London held the auction Photographs, which included the work 'São Paulo, Brazil', 1960 by René Burri. Here, the upper estimate of GBP 7,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for GBP 7,560.00 (€ 8,796.23). However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by René Burri - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work São Paulo, Brazil, which sold at auction in November 2016 for GBP 27,500.00 (€ 32,447.30).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im Mai 2021 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion Photographs durch, in der auch die Arbeit 'São Paulo, Brazil', 1960 von René Burri zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von GBP 7.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für GBP 7.560,00 (€ 8.796,23) einen neuen Besitzer. Für andere Arbeiten von René Burri mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit São Paulo, Brazil beobachtet, die im November 2016 für GBP 27.500,00 (€ 32.447,30) versteigert wurde.
