Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Le Corbusier by René Burri was sold in the The Gift of Photographs auction at Bonhams in New York in December 2021. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 1,000.00 – 15,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 1,275.00 (€ 1,126.52) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by René Burri achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work São Paulo, Brazil in November 2016 with an auction result of GBP 27,500.00 (€ 32,447.30).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Le Corbusier von René Burri wurde im Dezember 2021 in der Auktion The Gift of Photographs bei Bonhams in New York versteigert. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 1.000,00 – 15.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 1.275,00 (€ 1.126,52) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von René Burri erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit São Paulo, Brazil im November 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 27.500,00 (€ 32.447,30).
