Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Glass Pots by Renato Meziat was auctioned at Christies in New York in November 2017. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 12,000.00 – 18,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 12,500.00 (€ 10,505.97) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Renato Meziat - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work The Flowers, which sold at auction in May 2017 for USD 35,000.00 (€ 31,149.88).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Glass Pots von Renato Meziat kam im November 2017 bei Christies in New York zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 12.000,00 – 18.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 12.500,00 (€ 10.505,97) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Für andere Arbeiten von Renato Meziat mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit The Flowers beobachtet, die im Mai 2017 für USD 35.000,00 (€ 31.149,88) versteigert wurde.
