In November 2009 Sothebys in New York held the auction Latin American Art, which included the work Chinese Plate by Renato Meziat. The result of USD 15,000.00 (€ 10,004.00) was exactly at the lower end of the estimate range of USD 15,000.00 – 20,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Renato Meziat - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work The Flowers, which sold at auction in May 2017 for USD 35,000.00 (€ 31,149.88).
Zuschlag beim unteren Schätzpreis
Im November 2009 führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion Latin American Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Chinese Plate von Renato Meziat zur Versteigerung kam. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von USD 15.000,00 (€ 10.004,00) entsprach exakt dem unteren Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 15.000,00 – 20.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Renato Meziat mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit The Flowers beobachtet, die im Mai 2017 für USD 35.000,00 (€ 31.149,88) versteigert wurde.
