This artwork by Ren Yi achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in Hong Kong in December this year. In the Fine Chinese Classical Paintings and Calligraphy auction, the work Su Wu and Rams sold for HKD 882,000.00 (€ 102,057.49) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 500,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Ren Yi achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Birds and Flowers in October 2012 with an auction result of HKD 17,250,000.00 (€ 1,717,278.90).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 76 % übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Ren Yi erzielte im Dezember diesen Jahres bei Christies in Hong Kong einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Fine Chinese Classical Paintings and Calligraphy wurde die Arbeit Su Wu and Rams für HKD 882.000,00 (€ 102.057,49) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 500.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Ren Yi erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Birds and Flowers im Oktober 2012 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 17.250.000,00 (€ 1.717.278,90).
