A top price for Ren Yi
This artwork by Ren Yi achieved an unexpectedly high price at China Guardian in Hong Kong in October 2012. In the Chinese Painting and Calligraphy from the Four Seas auction, the work Birds and Flowers sold for HKD 17,250,000.00 (€ 1,717,278.90) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 8,000,000.00. This high result makes Birds and Flowers the most expensive artwork by Ren Yi that we have observed at auctions so far.
