The work Scholars under Pine Trees, 1881 by Ren Yi was auctioned at Bonhams in Los Angeles in September this year. It achieved a price of USD 76,700.00 (€ 72,467.88), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 28%. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Ren Yi achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Birds and Flowers in October 2012 with an auction result of HKD 17,250,000.00 (€ 1,717,278.90).

Die Arbeit Scholars under Pine Trees, 1881 von Ren Yi kam im September diesen Jahres bei Bonhams in Los Angeles zur Auktion. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von USD 76.700,00 (€ 72.467,88) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 28%. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Ren Yi erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Birds and Flowers im Oktober 2012 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 17.250.000,00 (€ 1.717.278,90).
