Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Ren Yi could be acquired at Christies in Hong Kong in May last year for an unexpectedly low price. In the Fine Chinese Classical Paintings and Calligraphy auction, the work Figures changed hands for HKD 260,000.00 (€ 30,867.58) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of HKD 400,000.00 – 600,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Ren Yi achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Birds and Flowers in October 2012 with an auction result of HKD 17,250,000.00 (€ 1,717,278.90).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Ren Yi konnte im Mai letzten Jahres bei Christies in Hong Kong für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Fine Chinese Classical Paintings and Calligraphy wechselte die Arbeit Figures für HKD 260.000,00 (€ 30.867,58) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von HKD 400.000,00 – 600.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Ren Yi erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Birds and Flowers im Oktober 2012 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 17.250.000,00 (€ 1.717.278,90).
